Marta Green is an executive leader specializing in health care delivery system reform, public policy and public affairs. She spent over two decades in the public sector, most recently as Chief of Health Plan Research and Administration at the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). There Marta was responsible for benefit design, financing and contracting for comprehensive health benefits for 1.5 million public employees and their families. In 2021, Marta was tapped by the California Governor’s Office to serve as the project lead for the third-party administrator for distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. Previously, Marta served as the Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), where she oversaw the daily operations of California’s health plan regulator and led organizational transformation to implement hundreds of new health plan requirements under the landmark federal Affordable Care Act. She is a former Board Member of the Public Sector Health Care Roundtable, current Board Member of Disability Voices United and guest lecturer on governmental studies and public policy at California State University, Sacramento and the University of San Francisco.
