Shiven has worked over the past decade in various segments of health care, which include community pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, hospice care and pharmacy benefit management. He graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2011 with a PharmD and received his master’s in applied sciences in Population Health Management from Johns Hopkins University in 2022. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute at the University of Washington. Shiven’s research interests include pharmaceutical policy evaluation and their differential impact on patient outcomes, especially in Medicare and Managed Medicaid.
